Watermelon "Cookies"

Making cut-out watermelon cookies is an
awesome activity that you can do with the kiddos.
It's simple & requires very little prep-work.

Slice sections of your watermelon rather thin &
use cookie cutters to cut out fun shapes!

It's so dang easy & the clean-up is delicious!

Caleb & I would love to thank a special elf for sending us 101 cookie cutters :)
We find all sorts of ways to use them!
Thank  you bunches, Candy!

Here's where I'm partying...

Cheesy Chicken Bake - Tasty Tuesday

 Cheesy Chicken Bake
When we had Eli, our church was so awesome & lined up people to bring us dinner for a week! I can't even tell you how big of a blessing this was!
This Cheesy Chicken Bake was shared with us by our friends Nate & Krystal.
Our kids gobbled it up & honestly, so did I!
So of course I got the recipe from Krystal & she was nice enough to share.
Now I want to spread the love & share it with you too!
Make it! Enjoy it!

Ingredients
4 Large Chicken Breasts
2 Eggs
1 Cup Bread Crumbs
2 Tbsp Butter
6 oz Mozzerella Cheese
3/4 Cup Chicken Broth

Preheat oven to 350*. Cut the chicken breasts into chunks. Beat the eggs in a medium size bowl. Dip Chicken in egg and then roll in bread crumbs. Brown chicken in buttered skillet - only brown it! Place browned chicken in 9x13 pan. Cover Chicken with cheese and broth. Bake for 30-40 minutes
Have a Tasty Tuesday!
Love,
Julie

Boys' Cowboy Bedroom Reveal! Part 2 - The FUN stuff!

Today I thought it would be fun to show off the little details in the boys' room!
I was going to show it to you yesterday with the room reveal,
but it seemed to bit a little over-loaded.
So here's PART 2!

These are the pillows I made for Caleb's bed. Keston's are still on my sewing machine...someday he'll get his.
The cow fabric was a cheap garage sale find by my mother-in-law.
Perfect, right?!
C is for Caleb, Cow & CowBOY
Last summer Caleb & Keston went horseback riding for the 1st time.
They loved it & were both so delighted when they saw their pictures hanging in their room!

This barn-star was a hobby lobby buy.
It's what makes the cowboy room official!
The idea to use a cowboy theme (& barn star decor idea) came from
If you have a chance you MUST check out this blog - especially if you're into decorating!
My blog addiction started at the Virginia House...no lie!

Jute is cheap! Like 1.50 for a roll of it!
I bought it for the picture frames but thought
it would give that snake skin lampshade a rough & rugged look.
Pretty happy with this makeover.

Keston's picture board.
Keston's little 2 year old face is just precious
when he's looking at pics of himself as a baby.
Ekk! I could squeeze him!

Child's Rocker...$5 antique shop!

This western hanger was PERFECT for the boys' room.
A friend gave it to us & I knew exactly where it was going.
It covers the attic that we're constantly trying to keep the boys out of.
Now with the hanger & costumes there, we haven't had ANY problems.Yay for that!

We debated whether we should have a shelf in the boys' room or not.
With all the decorations we have, I'm glad we put it up to keep them out of reach.
(what a mean mom, right?!)

I found these cute
 RED boots at Goodwill!

...marked down to $1.50!

The cowboy hat has seen better days.
I'd say it's pretty broken in!

Here's a little taste of Caleb's artwork for ya!
I think he's pretty impressive for a 4 year old.

Caleb & Keston have been playing in their room a lot.
After showing you all those "perfect" pictures yesterday, I thought it'd be fun to show you a more realistic picture...
and here's a new toy that their Daddy
just bought for the new room :)

I hope you enjoyed seeing the little details of the boys' room.
There are a few more things that I'd like to do still...like paint the dressers...but I'm accepting the fact that they'll probably never get done.
We're all happy with how it is anyway, so why fuss?
The theme & decor is perfect for little boys
& the color is perfect for a house that's rented! :)
I honestly love this room & I KNOW Caleb & Keston do too! What a great feeling to see them enjoying it!

Maybe I should show you Eli's room transformation next?
Want to see it?
It's more dramatic than this one!

Boys' Cowboy Bedroom Reveal! Part 1!

Howdy Partner!
Come on in & see the transformation!
Giddy-up!

What did we do for this room re-do?
We said goodbye to the green trim & got rid of several layers of wallpaper...holy smokes, THAT was quite a TASK!
After that, we puddied, plastered, sanded, primed & painted the walls...slept a little here & there...& somehow successfully managed 3 little ones...

I was SO excited to finally decorate this room!
We put up several decorations that we had accumulated over the year.
Many of the decorations had been given to us...or bought at a steal!
This is SO wonderful since we didn't want to invest a lot of money in the room.
I'll tell you more about all of that tomorrow...

The color of paint we chose is slightly darker than the color that was there before.
It reminds me a lot of what we put on our living room walls...

I can't believe I didn't get a good "AFTER" shot from this angle! The only one I could find was taken before I decorated.

Oh & you gotta see this picture...

...now I REALLY know where swear words came from.

...and a satisfying look at the windows :)

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the little people for all their hard work & help during this room redo. It couldn't have been completed without your cooperation & hand sweeping skills :)

Thanks for taking a look!
Please come back tomorrow!
I'll show you more of the small details in the little cowboy room!
